Tulsa, Okla. – Florida State men’s tennis senior Rana-Roop Singh Bhullar and junior Chase Wood advanced to the Singles Qualifying Draw of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.  Wood and Bhullar both advance with a 4-0 record over the last two days.

Despite a rain delay pushing the tournament inside, the changed start time didn’t slow Wood down.  The junior came out with a victory in a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 decision over Duke’s Samuel Rubell, while Bhullar dominated in a 6-4, 6-2 win against Vanderbilt’s Marcus Ferreira.

In his final match of the day, Wood secured his spot in the qualifying draw after defeating South Carolina’s Phillip Jordan 7-6, 6-3.  Bhullar joined Wood after a straight-set victory over Robert Cash of Ohio State 6-3, 6-2.

The qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships kicks off tomorrow at 8 A.M. as Wood takes on No. 4 ranked Bradley Frye (USC).  Bhullar will take the court later at 11:30 A.M as he is set to play Damon Kesaris (St. Mary’s).
