FSU Travels To Orlando For College MatchDay

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women's tennis team travels to Orlando to face No. 8 Florida for College MatchDay on Saturday.
The Seminoles are 2-1 on the season and are coming off a successful trip at the ITA Kickoff.
Senior Anna Arkadianou is 2-0 on the season in singles and is coming off a 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 win against Drew Morris of SMU at No. 2 singles. Arkadianou was up 6-2, 5-3 against the 20th-ranked Tanya Sasnouskaya before the match came to a hault.
Freshman Laura Putz and sophomore Millie Bissett are 2-0 in doubles and were up 5-3 in their match against Texas before the doubles point was secured. Bissett also won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles against Maja Makoric of SMU.
Senior Ellie Schoppe is also 2-0 in singles and is currently on an eight-match winning streak, stretching back to the fall of 2023.
The Gators are 3-0 on the season and are coming off a 4-3 win against San Diego. Florida is led by Junior Emily De Oliveira, who is one of three individuals ranked for the Gators.
Saturday's match begins at 5 p.m. at the USTA National Campus. Admission is free. Live stats and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
