SERIES HISTORY VS. LOUISVILLE
Florida State is 10-0-0 all-time against Louisville and 8-0-0 as ACC opponents. The Seminoles are 4-0-0 at home, 5-0-0 on the road and 1-0-0 at a neutral site. The teams last met in 2023, a 2-0 FSU road win. A 3-2 home win in 2001 began the series, followed by a 2-0 NCAA Tournament win in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2011. As ACC foes, a 6-0 win in Tallahassee got the series started, which is the largest margin of victory between the two teams. Seven of the 10 games have been Florida State shutouts and four have been one-goal games, including two 1-0 affairs.

The Cardinals are receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll and check in at No. 20 in the Top Drawer Soccer top-25.

Two years ago in the Derby City, FSU scored two second-half goals, in the 67th and 77th minutes, to secure a 2-0 win. Three current Seminoles got the start and another one played in the contest, as Jordynn Dudley had a game-high four shots and two shots on goal and Mimi Van Zanten registered the game-winning assist.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville begins ACC play with a 7-1-0 record, going 6-0-0 at home and 1-1 on the road. The Cardinals are 0-1 against ranked foes, with a 2-0 loss at No. 17 Vanderbilt to conclude the opening weekend. UofL started the season with a 1-0 victory at Auburn. Those two games in mid-August to begin the year away from home was the last time Louisville played on the road before its trip to Tallahassee this week. Winners of six in a row, the Cardinals downed Kent State 8-0 on September 4 and beat Dayton 2-0 on September 7 to wrap up non-conference action.

UofL has scored 37 goals and allowed four in 2025, with 42 assists. Mackenzie Geigle and Amelia Swinarski lead the team with six goals, and Swinarski has nine assists and 21 points to also pace the squad. Erynn Floyd has started all eight games in goal and has allowed four goals with 15 saves for a 0.55 goals-against average and a .789 save percentage.

LAST TIME OUT: ONE MORE NON-CONFERENCE WIN
Florida State led 2-0 after 99 seconds en route to a 5-0 win at FAU on Sunday afternoon. In their non-conference finale, the Seminoles scored at least five goals for the third time in five games to begin the season and earned their fourth shutout. The game ended in the 79th minute due to lightning in the area.

With its first victory away from home in 2025, Florida State took a 1-0 lead just 44 seconds into the match and made it 2-0 just 55 seconds later. Four players scored a goal and five notched an assist as 22 players appeared in the game, all for at least 26 minutes. Hudson scored two goals for her second career brace and senior midfielder Enasia Colon scored her first goal as a Seminole, with a first-minute score that was her fourth career game-winner.

Meanwhile, the defense held FAU to just one shot, as the Seminoles posted a 24-1 advantage in shots, 13-1 in shots on goal. FSU had 11 corner kicks and did not allow one for a second game in a row and the third time this season.
