REDSHIRT SENIOR (2018):
Made 36 starts and appeared in 50 games, hitting .189 with eight doubles, two home runs and 19 runs batted in…scored 22 runs and drew 21 walks…had a pair of RBI singles in FSU’s 11-8, 10-inning win over Louisville in the ACC Championship Game…had three RBI in his second game as a Seminole against Xavier (2/17)…also had three RBI against Kansas (3/5), when he hit his first of two home runs…also went deep against Stetson (4/18)…scored a career-high three runs against Mount St. Mary’s (5/11) and had four multi-hit games.
BEFORE FSU/PERSONAL:
Graduate transfer from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn….hit .337 for the Bruins last season, with 31 runs batted in, 30 walks and 24 strikeouts over 56 games…three-time honor roll at Belmont…played high school ball at Lakeland Christian and played this summer in the Futures League with the Worcester Bravehearts…dad Rafael played baseball at Florida State and in the major leagues with the Dodgers, Athletics and Mariners…working towards a Masters in accounting.
