Outdoor: Placed fifth in the 5000m (14:37.41) at the East Coast Relays.
Indoor: Placed seventh in the 3000m (8:21.57) at the the Jimmy Carnes Invitational...Placed 38th in the 5000m (14:26.14) at the John Thomas Terrier Classic...Placed 18th in the 5000m (14:16.02) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
2021-22
Outdoor: Competed unattached and finished fourth in the 5000m with a time of 14:32.33 at the Florida Relays.
2020-21 (Furman)
Hammel was one of the top runners in the Southern Conference in the outdoor track season…Hammel ran a personal best time of 30:36.21 in the 10,000m run to finish second at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships last May.
Personal
Hammel is the son of Steve and Lori Hammel and has two siblings, Katelyn and Matthew…He was named to the Headmaster’s Honor Roll at Christ High School…He will be majoring in exploratory at FSU.
