Cross Country: Placed 42nd in the 8k at the Covered Bridge Open with a time of 26:38.12…Placed 71st in the 8k in the Crimson Classic at 25:55.4
2021-22
Outdoor: Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team…Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary where he finished 35th with a time of 9:08.71 in the 3000m steeplechase…Ran an 8:53.23 in the 3000m steeplechase to finish 11th at the ACC Championships…Posted another personal best in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:51.40 to finish 14th…Won the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 8:53.22 at the Florida Relays which put him No. 6 on FSU’s all-time list… Finished 3rd in the 3000m with a time of 8:37.42 at the Auburn Tiger Track Classic.
Cross Country: Competed at the NCAA Championships and recorded a time of 31:47.1 in the 10k… finished 28th in the NCAA South Regional meet with a personal best time of 30:39.43 in the 10k… placed 54th at ACC Championships with a time of 24:44.4… earned a 30th place finish in the Open 8k at the FSU Pre-Nationals meet with a time of 24:58.8… began the season with a 12th place finish at the Alexander Asics Invitational with an 8k time of 25:45.
Indoor: Finished ninth in the 1 mile run with a time of 4:14.30 at the Tyson Invitational.
BEFORE FSU
At BYU (2017-2021)
Cross Country: Placed 45th at the 2019 NCAA Championships in the 10k with a time of 31:25.4 and helped the Cougars win the national championship…was also fifth at the WCC Championships in the 8k (23:46.1) and was WCC All-Conference first team.
Indoor T&F: USTFCCCA All-American in the DMR in 2020…earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors…ran a personal best in the mile at 4:01.32 at the 2020 Husky Classic.
Outdoor T&F: As a sophomore named first-team All-American after taking eighth place in the 3000m steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (8:45.40)…named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team and captured USTFCCCA All-Academic honors… as a rookie named a first-team All-American after taking sixth place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:38.09 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (finished eighth in the semifinal with a time of 8:42.35)…earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors
Before BYU:
A two-time All-Region selection…second-team All-State…first-team All-State…led Orem HS to a state title…was a senior record holder for both the 3,200m and 1600m track events…All-State honorable mention in soccer…academic All-Region and All-State in track, XC and soccer…graduated with a 4.0 and high honors

Son of Matthew and Alyssa Owens…has nine siblings (Eric, Nathan, Merrill, Angela, Doug, Anson, Tiffany, Sam and Jason)
