Indoor: Was at his best when it mattered most, placing fourth at the ACC Championships with an indoor personal-best of 4.98 meters (16-4), contributing to the Noles’ runaway ACC team title…previous season-best came at the Bob Pollock Invitational (4.80m/15-9).
Personal
Enjoyed a successful freshman collegiate season at UNF, placing second at the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships and fourth at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships…posted his PB (5.00/16-4.75) in a fourth-place finish at the Tom Jones Memorial…won the 2018 Florida 4A state title in the pole vault…had a high school personal-best of 4.80m (15-9), which came on the way to a region title…also finished seventh at the state meet in the long jump…was long jump runner-up at the Florida Relays in 2018 with a personal-best leap of 7.05m (23-1.5)…the son of Derrylene Thompson…majoring in political science…born Sept. 17, 1999.
