Outdoor: Competed in a total of three meets this outdoor season…finished 15th in the 110H (14.34(0.8)) at the UF Tom Jones Invitational..at the North Florida Invite finished 13th in the 110H (14.22(-0.5))…10th in the 110H preliminary round (14.68(-1.2)) at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
2020
Indoor: Qualified for his third NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles, securing his spot with a personal-best time of 7.70 in the prelims of the ACC Championships…finished third in the final for the title-winning Noles, then added a strong second leg to the runner-up 4×400 relay (3:07.53), which missed an NCAA qualifying spot by the narrowest of margins…Canady’s hurdles time ranks No. 6 all-time at FSU, while the relay time sits at No. 10…advanced to the finals of the 60 hurdles in four of five meets…three times he finished third, behind his two NCAA qualifying teammates.
Personal
Starred at Jacksonville’s Paxon High where he won the 2016 Florida 3A 300-meter hurdles titles and was a two-time 110-meter hurdles runner-up…recruited by FSU out of high school but chose Oregon, where in three seasons was a three-time All-American in the hurdles, won a PAC-12 110-meter hurdles titles (2018) and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in 2017 and 2019 and the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2018, earning second-team All-American honors three times…was a three-time MSPF 60 hurdles finalist with a pair of silver medal finishes…was PAC-12 110 hurdles runner-up as a freshman before winning title as a sophomore…finished fifth at the 2017 USATF Championships in the 110 hurdles…majoring in economics at FSU…the son of Bruce and Katrina Canady…born Jan. 13, 1998.
