BIO:
Second-year Seminole is coming off his first season of Division I competition since 2014 at Auburn…a 400-meter runner who was a key component to the 4×400 relay which came precariously close to qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships…was one of the most consistent performers in the 400 throughout the second half of the season.
2017:
Indoor – Competed in three meets and participated in the 4×400 and 400m…helped the Noles to a fourth-place finish in the 4×400 at the ACC Championships, where he also posted his season-best in the 400. Outdoor – Competed in eight meets…recorded season-best 200m (21.91) at the Stanford Cardinal Classic…registered his all-time personal-best in the 400 at the Tom Jones Memorial (47.23)…advanced to the finals of the ACC Championships in the 400 where he finished eighth (47.53) and also helped 4×400 to a fifth-place finish….was a member of the NCAA East Preliminary 4×400 relay team that recorded a season-best time of 3:07.05 to finish 13th; one position shy of a trip to the NCAA Championships.
Personal:
Spent his freshman season at Auburn where he competed in the long sprints at both the SEC Indoor and Outdoor Championships…was a standout at Lake Brantley High, where he was the 2013 4A state runner-up in the 400 as well as the 400 silver medalist at the Golden South meet in a high school personal-best of 47.48…at one point held Seminole County Conference records in the 400, 200 and 4×400…has worked diligently to regain his eligibility through the junior college ranks…son of Monica Campos…hopes to graduate with a pre-law degree…born November 26, 1994.
