2023-2024 NATIONAL DOUBLES RANKINGS
Ranked as high as No. 39 nationally in doubles in the spring with Maelie Monfils ..was ranked in doubles for seven consecutive weeks with Maelie Monfils No. 48 (Nov 15th), No. 46 (Feb 7), No. 39 (Feb 20), No. 42 (Mar 5), No. 70 (Mar 19), No. 58 (Apr 2), and No. 90 (Apr 9)...ranked No. 48 on November 15th.
Fall 2023
Earned 11 total victories in the 2023 Fall season (six in doubles and five in singles)...won the Flight 2 doubles bracket at the UNF Invite with Maelie Monfils with a (6-1) win over Shona Nakano and Emma Wilkins of UNC Charlotte, (6-3) win over Melisa Senli and Marta Font of USF, and (6-3) win over Elisabeth Dunac and Mari Lene Hovda of Indiana....won the Flight B singles bracket with wins over win over Amy Kaplan of UNF (6-1, 6-3), Lucia Aranda of UNC Charlotte (2-6, 7-5, 6-4), and Cheri Darley of Stetson (7-5, 6-4)...defeated Petja Drame and Katerina Mandelikova of FIU (8-6) with Maelie Monfils...won (8-1) over the No. 1 seeded Guillermina Grant and Mai Niurndorn of Georgia in the Open Doubles round of 16 at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships wtih Maelie Monfils... won (6-2, 6-2) over Carol Lee of Georgia Tech in the Open Singles round of 64 at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships...defeated Alina Mukhortova of Wisconsin (7-6(5), 3-6, 6-3) in singles at the ITA All-American Championshiips...won (8-3) over Alexandra Stairculescu and Eliza Askarova of Delaware with Vic Alllen in doubles at the ITA All-American Championships.
SPRING 2023
Finished the spring season with an 13-9 singles record and 13-9 doubles record…defeated Josie Frazier (6-4, 6-3) at No. 3 singles in the 4-2 team victory over No. 35 Illinois to help the Seminoles advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament…won (6-4) against Andrea Di Palma and Rhea Verma at No. 1 doubles with Vic Allen to secure the doubles point and the 4-0 team victory against Louisville, having Florida State advance to quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament…secured a (6-3, 1-6, 6-1) victory at NO. 3 singles over the 14th-ranked Carson Tanguilig of No. 1 North Carolina…claimed a (6-2, 2-6, 6-0) victory over the 70th-ranked Julia Andreach at No. 2 singles in a 4-1 team win over No. 23 Notre Dame… earned a (6-2, 6-3) victory over the No. 89 Hibah Shaikh at No. 2 singles of the 9th-ranked Virginia…defeated Nevena Carton (6-1, 6-2) at No. 4 singles in a 5-2 team victory over No. 19 Wake Forest…earned a (6-0, 6-1) against Jenna Thompson at No. 3 singles in a 4-1 team victory over the 37th-ranked Clemson…won (6-4) against Sophie Abrams and Abigail Rencheli at No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point against No. 5 NC State…started the season with a four-win streak in singles and doubles.2022-2023 NATIONAL SINGLES RANKINGS

Made her Florida State debut at the ITA All-American Championships at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C…totaled a 2-2 record at the ITA All-American Championships (0-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play)…fell to Sedona Gallagher of Arizona State (7-5, 6-3) in the open singles pre-qualifying round (Oct. 1)…fell to Maria Sholokhova of Wisconsin (6-0, 6-1) in the open-singles pre-qualifying consolation round…played doubles with Mila Saric and fell to Hannah McColgan and Marta Perez Mur of Maryland (8-2) in the quarterfinals of the open doubles pre-qualifying round…a 1-3 record at the ITA Southeast Regional Championship in Atlanta…finished with a 1-1 record in doubles play and an 0-2 record in singles play…earned a win in doubles playing with Anna Arkadianou defeated Noa Cohen and Nadedja Maslova of Stetson by an 8-2 score…fell to Sierra Berry of USF by a 6-3, 6-1 score in singles and to Kylie Blichev and Alejandra Cruz of Georgia Tech in doubles by an 8-3 margin…earned a perfect 5-0 record in singles (2-0) an doubles (3-0) play at the San Juan Invitational…earned singles victories over Bayley Sheinin of Michigan (7-5, 6-4) and Marcella Cruz of Vanderbilt (6-1, 6-4)…in doubles play, she teamed with Kianah Motosono for a win over Dasha Kourkina and Amy Stevens of Vanderbilt (6-1), with Olympe Lancelot for a victory over Adeline Flach and Kaitlyn Carnicella of Auburn (6-3) and with Alice Amendola to earn a victory over Kourkina and Anessa Lee of Vanderbilt (6-1)…earned a flight championship and a 5-2 record in both singles (2-2) and doubles (3-0) at the UNF Invitational…teamed with Kianah Motosono to gain three doubles wins and a flight championship…their doubles wins came against Hannah McClogan and Francesca Feodorov of Maryland (6-3), Jojo Bach and Mary Brumfield of Maryland (6-3), and Grace Schumacher and Margriet Timmermans of USF (6-2) to earn the flight championship…her single wins came against Jasmin Makela of USF (6-1, 6-4) and Cliona Walsh of USF (6-0, 6-4)…
SPRING 2022
Helped lead the Paladins to the regular season and tournament championships in the Southern Conference and into the NCAA Championship tournament….earned All-Southern Conference First-Team honors in both singles and doubles…her play helped her move from court No. 3 (six matches, 4-1 record), to court No. 2 (21 matches, 15-6 record) during the season…ranked 36th nationally in doubles with playing partner Julie Adams as they finished with a 19-4 record…playing at the No. 1 doubles position, Schoppe and Adams won their final 10 matches of the regular season…tied for the team lead with 19 wins and a 19-7 overall record in singles play…won 11 of her final 13 marches of the regular season…played primarily at the No. 2 position for the Paladins…biggest win of the season came against No. 26 ranked Emma Jackson of Duke (6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9)…earned singles wins against No. 12 ranked Duke, No. 24 Texas Tech, No. 43 Charlotte and No. 74 East Tennessee State (twice)…was a perfect 7-0 in Southern Conference play during the regular season, and 3-0 in the Southern Conference Tournament championship…played at the No 1 singles spot with Adam in 24 of their 27 matches during the spring season…totaled a 19-5 record in doubles play…the pair gained two wins over ranked opponents – No. 22 Samantha Martinelly and Casie Wood of Wake Forest and No. 33 ranked Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser of Alabama…gained doubles wins over No. 17 Oklahoma, No. 26 Alabama, No. 72 Clemson, and No. 74 East Tennessee State.
FALL 2021
Earned a 6-3 record in single play during the fall season…earned a first round win over Olivia Symons of Tennessee (6-2, 6-4), in the Debbie Southern Fall Classic at Furman…lost to Brooke Killiingsworth of Wake Forest (3-6, 2-6) n the second round of the Debbie Southern…won her first two matches at the ITA Carolinas Regional Championship with wins over Mira Gladstone of Davidson (6-2, 6-2) and Sophia Hatton of Clemson (6-4, 7-6(5))..a 3-1 record with wins over Ilayda Baykan of Furman, Kristin Yordanova of Mercer and Lilie Steryous of Wofford before falling in the Standpipe Draw finals to Sara Snyder of Furman in the southern Conference Fall Championship.
SPRING 2021
Helped lead the Paladins to the regular season and tournament championships in the Southern Conference…the Paladins advanced to the NCAA Championship where they faced Wake Forest…earned All-Southern Conference Second-Team honors in singles and All-Conference All-Freshman Team honors as she posted a 20-4 singles record…her record included a 7-0 record in Southern Conference matches…posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over No. 95 Karolina Berkankova of 10th-ranked Duke and then earned a in against Wake Forest, 6-0, 4-6, 1-0(10-2), both at flight six…defeated No. 18 ranked South Carolina, 6-2, 6-3, and No. 18 ranked UCF…earned a 6-7(2-7), 6-2, 7-5, victory against No. 72 Marie Mattel…beat ETSU, 6-0, 6-4, to conclude the regular season, then notched a 6-4, 6-4 win over the Bucs in the SoCon Championship finals…finished with a 12-13 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the league play…teamed with Madison Dillon to defeat Auburn, 6-1, at flight two, then partnered with Maggie Pate for nonconference wins versus Presbyterian, Kennesaw State, South Florida, North Florida, and Davidson.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
A transfer student from Furman in her first season at Florida State…has played in two NCAA Tournaments – in 2021 against Wake Forest and in 2022 against Old Dominion…has two years of eligibility remaining at the beginning of the 2022-23 season…an NCAA Doubles Championship participant in 2022 and a two-time All-Southern Conference selection during her two-year career at the South Carolina school…All-Southern Conference First-Team in singles and doubles in 2022 and an All-Southern Conference Second-Team selection in doubles as a freshman in 2021…a five-time Southern Conference Player of the Week at Furman…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2021...Graduated from Jensen Beach High School in 2020…the runner-up in the State 3A Championship singles tournament as a junior in 2019…fell to Imani Graham of Creekside, 6-3, 7-6 8-6) in the state title match…teamed with Madison Dennett to win the State Class 3A doubles championship in 2019…a four-star recruit by www.tennisrecruiting.net…the 13th-ranked player in Florida and ranked as high as 44th nationally…earned a 24-4 record versus four-star and higher recruits…nominated as the TC Palm newspaper Athlete of the Year award.

Born November 18, 2001…Ellie is the daughter of Laura and Paul Schoppe…her mom, Laura (Arnold), was a four-year member of the Seminole Volleyball team (1994-97) and graduated from Florida State in 1998…Laura helped lead the Seminoles into the 1997 NCAA Tournament…enjoys surfing, wake boarding and spearfishing…hopes to play professional tennis when her collegiate career is over…major is Exercise Physiology.
