Brings vast experience and a fierce competitiveness to the cross country team for a fifth year…a middle distance runner by trade she has adapted nicely to longer distances…ranks among FSU’s top 10 all-time indoors in the 800.
2017-18
Cross Country: Spent the majority of the season building strength for the track where she excels in the middle distance events…ran 18:31.6 at the FSU Invitational, just one second off her lifetime best on the Noles’ home course…also competed at the Crimson Classic. Indoor: Enjoyed long-awaited breakout with three new personal-bests over as many events…contributed to FSU’s ACC Indoor team title with a strong 400 leg on the fifth-place DMR…laid down a new 800m PB in the ACC prelims (2:07.57), advancing to the finals with the No. 6 time in program history…posted a 600m PB (1:33.18) at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational…three weeks later dropped a mile PB (4:54.64) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Outdoor: Produced a new outdoor 800m PB – and season-best – in the Yellow Jacket Invitational season-opener (2:09.88)…dipped under 4:30 for the first time in the 1500m with a PB of 4:29.29 at the Raleigh Relays.
2016-17
Cross Country: Served a co-captain of squad…competed in five meets, including her first ACC Championships…followed up 19:09.7 5k at Notre Dame Invitational with SB 18:40.8 to finish third among Noles and 13th overall at FSU Invitational. Indoors: Competed in four meets and posted a few highlight efforts…ran her indoor-best 800 (2:10.26) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston…handled the 800-leg on the DMR at the ACC Championships as the Noles narrowly missed a spot on the podium by finishing fourth in a SB 11:18.62. Outdoors: Registered new PBs in the 800 and 1500 over the course of the season…at Stanford’s Cardinal Classic, dipped under 2:10 for the first time in the 800 (2:09.93) to finish third…two weeks later shattered her previous-best in the 1500 when she ran 4:31.77 for second at the Seminole Twilight…was also a part of FSU’s strong 8:49.63 4×800 effort at the Tennessee Relays, resulting in a third-place finish.
2015-16
Cross Country: Did not compete. Indoor: Saw action on the track for the first time since arriving in the fall of 2014…competed in five meets, including the ACC Championships, in both the 800 and 4×400 relay…ran season-best 2:11.38 at the ACC Championships, narrowly missing finals…contributed strong leg on 4x400s season-best at the ACC meet as well. Outdoor: Made her outdoor with the Seminoles at FSU Relays with a 1500-meter PB (4:44.65)…focused primarily on the 800 while contributing to 4×400…competed in six meets…registered lifetime-best 2:10.70 at the UNF Twilight, where she also contributed to season-best 3:42.61 4×400…her 2:11.50 800 at ACC Championshps did not qualify for the final.
2014-15
Cross Country: Lined up for three meets in her first campaign at FSU…season-best 6k (23:18.7) came at Charlotte Invitational…also clocked 18:52.2 5k at FSU Invitational. Indoor & Outdoor: missed seasons due to injury, leading to redshirt.
Personal
Decorated student-athlete at the high school level…starred in soccer, scoring 112 career goals…was Florida 2A Player of the Year as a junior..on the track set Wakulla school records in every distance from 200 to 3200, as well as the 5k in cross country…was ninth at state meet as a senior in her lone season of cross country, winning All-Big Bend and Gulf Winds Track Club Runner of the Year honors…a four-time state finalist in the 800 and runner-up as a junior and senior…won FSU Relays and Florida Relays titles in 800 as senior…graduated Summa Cum Laude and was Scholar-Athlete of the Year all four years…member National Honor Society…mother Jane Harris (Regis) ran for FSU and still ranks among top 10 all-time for 10,000 meters…sister Savanna graduated from FSU’s nursing school…majoring in exercise science…born Sept. 28, 1995.
