TALLAHASSEE – Florida State soccer junior forward Jordynn Dudley has signed with Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the club announced on Monday.
Dudley joins Gotham FC, the reigning NWSL champions, after she helped FSU win two national championships and three ACC titles in her three-year collegiate career. An All-American all three seasons, Dudley won the Honda Sport Award for Soccer this season.
Dudley is one of several Florida State players to sign professionally this offseason after the team won their fifth NCAA championship in early December. She is joined in the NWSL by senior defender Heather Gilchrist (Bay FC), junior midfielder Yuna McCormack (Denver Summit), junior defender Mimi Van Zanten (San Diego Wave), sophomore midfielder/forward Taylor Suarez (Angel City FC), sophomore forward Solai Washington (Orlando Pride) and freshman goalkeeper Evan O'Steen (Seattle Reign), while senior forward Giana Riley (Club América) signed in Liga MX Femenil.
"I am so excited to join a championship-caliber organization like Gotham FC with a history of success," Dudley said to Gotham. "I know this environment will push my development every day, and I can't wait to compete alongside this incredible team. Thank you to Yael Averbuch West, Juan Carlos Amorós and everyone at Gotham for this opportunity. Let's go Gotham!"
