FSU is 34-14 on the season, 25-3 at home, 8-8 on the road, 1-3 at a neutral site and 7-7 against ranked opponents. The team is 15-9 in the ACC and in fourth place. The Seminoles have won five in a row following a comeback win over Jacksonville on Tuesday night in the team's midweek finale. Through eight weekends of conference play and with two remaining, Florida State has six series wins with three sweeps. Four of the eight series have come against top-12 nationally-ranked opponents, three of them on the road.

As a team, FSU is hitting .280 with 444 hits, 58 home runs, 100 doubles, 10 triples, 229 walks, 350 runs scored and 307 RBI. The pitching staff has a 4.01 ERA with 181 earned runs allowed on 336 hits with 508 strikeouts and 185 walks in 406.1 innings.

Sophomore catcher Hunter Carns is hitting .316 while junior center fielder Brayden Dowd and freshman outfielder John Stuetzer both have 43 hits. Dowd and redshirt senior first baseman Eli Putnam have hit eight home runs and junior left fielder Chase Williams has 17 stolen bases in 20 attempts. On the mound, junior lefty Wes Mendes is 8-3 with a 2.25 ERA, having struck out 93 and allowed 18 earned runs on 48 hits in 72.0 innings. Junior right-hander John Abraham has made 16 appearances, all but one out of the bullpen, and has 55 strikeouts and a 1.08 ERA in 41.2 innings.

NATIONALLY RANKED SEMINOLES
Florida State is ranked nationally in the top-15 in each major poll, including at No. 14 by D1Baseball. FSU also is No. 12 in the Coaches Poll, No. 13 according to the NCBWA and The Athletic, No. 14 in the Perfect Game top-25 and No. 15 in Baseball America's rankings.

SERIES HISTORY VS. CLEMSON
Florida State is 85-78-1 all-time against Clemson, 47-24-1 at home, 24-40 on the road and 14-14 at a neutral site. That includes a 2-4 record in NCAA play and a 60-62 mark as ACC opponents since FSU joined the conference in 1992. The teams first met in 1958, an 8-5 loss in Gastonia, North Carolina, in the NCAA Regional, and the two teams squared off twice more the following year, again at the same event in the same location. The Seminoles' first win came in 1962 in Tallahassee by a 14-8 margin, and that year also was the first matchup at Clemson. In the tightly-contested series, Florida State owns a nine game win streak from 2001-02, the longest streak by either team, ahead of a six-game run for both clubs. The rivals have met at least three times every year since the Seminoles' inaugural ACC campaign in 1992, with the exception of the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. The streak includes six games in 1995 and five games played on four occasions. FSU won two-of-three last year at Dick Howser Stadium after the Tigers had won the previous five.

In a matchup between two top-five teams, then-No. 5 Florida State earned a dramatic series victory over then-No. 3 Clemson from May 2-4, 2025, in Tallahassee. The series began with a 6-5, walk-off win in 11 innings, as the Seminoles scored two runs in the ninth to tie it with two outs, tied it again in the 10th before a game-winning single in the 11th inning. The following day, in a game that was suspended into Sunday due to lightning, Clemson scored late to even the series with a 6-3 win. In the finale, Florida State walked it off in eight innings with a 20-9 win. FSU scored early, withstood a Tiger rally and added late runs to notch the run-rule win, capped by a walk-off home run.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson is 29-20 on the season, 19-8 at home, 8-10 on the road and 2-2 at a neutral site. The Tigers are 8-16 in the ACC and tied for 15th place. Coming off an 8-4 win at No. 8 Coastal Carolina on Tuesday night, CU has won three in a row. Clemson won a home series vs. No. 20 Boston College last weekend, with a 14-4 seven-inning win and a 4-3 victory after an 8-4 loss in the opener. The weekend before, the Tigers were swept at Louisville.

LAST TIME OUT: COMEBACK WIN IN MIDWEEK FINALE
FSU rallied for a second consecutive game on Tuesday night to defeat Jacksonville 5-2 in the team's final midweek game of the season. The Seminoles trailed 2-0 in the third inning but answered with two in the fifth to tie the game. FSU took the lead in the seventh with one run before two insurance tallies in the eighth. The Dolphins were held to just the two third-inning runs on four hits, none coming after the fourth inning against the bullpen. Florida State's five runs came on 10 hits, with home runs by Dowd and Stuetzer.

Four relief pitchers did not allow a run on just two hits in the final 6.1 innings. Junior right-hander Cole Stokes earned his first win and held JU hitless with a strikeout and a walk in the seventh inning that led into his team taking the lead. Redshirt junior lefty Kevin Mebil pitched the final 2.0 innings and got the save, his first. He did not allow a hit with four strikeouts and no walks.
