WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER
Christian Nitu – I wear No. 11 at Florida State because I felt like changing my uniform number from high school and I like the way it looks on our Florida State uniforms. I wore No. 1 throughout high school.
Christian Nitu is the 28th player in school history to wear uniform No. 11. Sheldon Hilaman was the first player in school history to wear No. 11. He was a starter in Florida State’s first-ever game – and first-ever win – over Spring Hill College on December 10, 1947.

WHAT'S IN A NAME
My full name is Christian Alexander Nitu. I was named by my parents to honor a first cousin of our family who passed away before I was born. The friendship between my father and his cousin was an amazing bond.

MY HOMETOWN
My hometown of Whitby in Ontario, Canada is a community-focused, quickly-growing town with great schooling for students, and a great atmosphere to thrive as part of an extraordinary collection of wonderful people. The town is located in Southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario.
