Cross Country: Enjoyed his finest season in the fall, competing in six meets…opened up with a fourth-place finish at the Covered Bridge Open and followed up by placing 10th at the Wake Forest Invitational/Pre-ACC meet, running 25:28.8 for 8k…bounced back from Notre Dame Invitational performance with the fastest 8k of his career, running 25:09.0 at the Indiana State Pre-National meet…was 62nd at the ACC Cross Country Championships, but came back with a strong showing at the NCAA South Region, placing 38th overall and scoring for the Noles. Outdoor: After sitting out the indoor season saw limited action on the track…raced in only two meets with his top performance coming in the 5000 at the Seminole Invitation (15:15.16), which was good for third place.
2012-13
Cross Country: Competed in five meets for the Seminoles after sitting out the entire 2011-12 school year as a redshirt… turned in an 18th-place finish at Louisville Invitational/Pre-Nationals (8k, 24:43.1)…highest finish came at FSU Invitational, where he paced the `Noles to the team title by finishing fourth overall (25:18.2)…his top performance came at the ACC Championships, where he placed 27th in an 8k season-best 24:40.0…was alternate on the fifth-place NCAA Championship team. Indoor: Made his Seminole track debut at the Samford Invitational 3000m, where he posted a PR (8:38.90). Outdoor: Registered personal-best marks in his only two competitions…opened year by running 15:01.52 in the 5000 at Florida Relays…stepped up to the 10,000 at the Virginia Challenge and delivered a PR (31:05.81).
Personal:
Starred at Orlando’s Edgewater High and was a 3A state finalist in the 3,200 meters as a junior and senior, posting a pair of sixth-place finishes…ran high school PR’s of 9:26 (3200) and 4:26 (1600)…prep career cross country highlight came at 2010 3A state championship where he finished ninth…member of the National Honor Society at Edgewater…majoring in engineering at Florida State…born July 19, 1993.
