With the help of a grand slam by redshirt senior second baseman Eli Putnam, a steal of home by Sheffield and a home run and walk-off hit by Bailey, FSU secured the series win with a 13-3 run-rule, walk-off win in seven innings on Saturday afternoon. Junior left-handed starter Trey Beard and the FSU pitching staff held the Norse to five hits as Beard earned his first win and allowed one run in 5.0 innings.
