Swam personal best times at the ACC Championships in the 50 free (20.07), 100 free (44.09) and 100 fly (47.44)…won the 100 fly against UIW with a time of 50.59…placed second in the 50 free (20.69) against FAU…tied for 13th in the 50 free with a time of 20.14 at the GT Invite after swimming a personal best in prelims at 20.10…placed 19th in the 100 fly (49.26) after tying his best time in prelims at 48.28.
High School
A native of the California/Nevada border, De Ryk led Truckee High School to the state title as a senior over seven-time champs Boulder City…he is a six-time Nevada D1A state champion, owning three state records – 50 free (20.13), 100 fly (48.84) and 100 free (46.42)… he is a two-time All-American…De Ryk was also a two-time finalist at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships – West where he finished fourth in the 50 free at 20.56 and seventh in the 100 free at 44.91.
Personal: Born Sept. 23, 1999…son of Carl and Natalie De Ryk…swam for the Truckee Tahoe Swim Team where he was coached by Cyrus Crews…was also a skier and played baseball.
