Finished 10th in the 200 fly (1:55.34) and tied for 11th in the 500 free at 4:35.74 at the Auburn Invite…competed in the 100 fly (54.53) against UIW…placed sixth in the 200 fly (1:57.10) and competed in the 500 free (4:48.22) vs. FAU…placed seventh in the 100 back (56.83) and competed in the 200 fly (1:59.64) and 200 back (2:03.25) vs. Florida Southern…was ninth in the 200 fly (1:56.52) against GT and Pitt.
High School
A three-time FHSAA 1A state finalist, Strickland finished fifth in the 500 free with a time of 4:33.30 at the 2017 meet. He was a two-time finalist at the 2017 Speedo Sectionals in Plantation, Fla., finishing fourth in the 200m back (2:11.16) and took sixth in the 200m fly (2:11.25). He also was the runner up at the 2016 meet in the 800m free at 8:42.79 and was eighth in both the 400m free (4:12.27) and 200m free (2:12.19).
