A top returner for the Seminoles who has earned 47 wins in her first two seasons of her career at Florida State...helped lead Florida State to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association league championship (2022) and to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances...Florida State finished as the national runners-up in 2022 and as semifinalists in 2023...enters her junior season with 30 wins while playing with Jordan Polo – the 12th highest total by any pair in school history...her 22 wins with Polo during the 2023 season is tied for the 22nd highest total in school history for a single season.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
Finished with a 28-11 record as she played on courts two, three and four...earned 21 of her wins on court two while earning winning records on courts three (6-3) and four (1-0)...season-long winning streak of six matches from March 19 through March 31...totaled her six wins against Georgia State as well as Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Washington, Spring Hill College, LSU and Hawaii in the LSU Beach Bash...began the season with a 4-1 record while playing with Jordan polo...the Seminole pair defeated Coastal Carolina, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and South Carolina...five consecutive wins over Tampa, Coastal Carolina, Mercer, Georgia State and Tulane from March 5 through March 17...a 2-1 record in the CCSA Championship tournament and a 1-1 record in the NCAA Tournament with a win over FIU...earned a 15-6 record in her final 21 matches of the season while playing with Polo.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Named to the CCSA All-Freshman team in 2022...played with Kate Privett (9-9 record), Keara Rutz (1-0), Jordan Polo (8-2), Jenna Johnson (0-1) and Caitlin Moon (1-0) in totaling a 19-13 record as a freshman competed as the only true freshman in the Seminoles’ starting lineup in the conference tournament and the NCAA Tournament...helped the Seminoles finish as the CCSA Tournament Champions and as the NCAA Runner-Up in her first season...finished 6-8 on court three, 10-5 on court four and 3-0 on court five…started the season 4-0 on court four at the FSU Beach Bash with Polo as the pair earned wins over No. 8 Cal Poly, No. 13 FAU, UAB and Tampa (Feb. 26-27)… earned seven wins against top-10 opponents featuring No. 8 Cal Poly, No. 6 LSU (three times), No. 10 FAU, No. 2 TCU, and No. 4 LMU.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2022...named a 2021 AVCA Junior All-American……named as the regional MVP in 2020…earned Second-Team All-State honors in 2019...the AVCA/MaxPreps Player of the Week Nov. 10, 2020…earned Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention honors 2020… 2020 Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Championship team…earned First-Team All-State honors in 2020...the MVP of the 2020 KHSAA State Tournament MVP… 2021 P1440 National Champion…BVNE National Champion 2021… 2021 P1440 First Team All-Star.
PERSONAL
Born October 1, 2002...Anna is the daughter of Jenny and Kevin Long...hopes to pursue a professional volleyball career at the conclusion of her collegiate career...would then like to pursue a career in graphic design while owning her own business...major is Media and Communication Studies.
