2023 ACC Academic Honor Roll
ON GODWIN
In her fourth season as a member of the Seminoles’ Women’s Volleyball Team...a member of two Coastal Collegiate Sports Association championship teams (2021 and 2022) and three NCAA Tournament teams...helped lead the Seminoles to a national runner-up finish in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, to a tie for third finish in the NCAA Championships in 2023 and to a tied for fifth place finish in the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
AS A JUNIOR (2023)
A member of Florida State’s NCAA Tournament national semifinalist team...played in a career-high five matches and earned a 3-2 record...a three-match winning streak from March 25 through March 7 with victories over Southern Miss, Spring Hill College and a second win over Southern Miss...teamed with Angeline Bergner to gain her first win over Southern Miss, with Audrey Koenig to defeat Spring Hill and with Raelyn White in her second win over Southern Miss...played with four different partners during the season including White in her final two matches of the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022)
A redshirt season – did not compete in any matches.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021)
Played in three exhibition matches during the 2021 season, winning two of them, while the third one went unfinished.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from Bowie High School in 2021...finished in the top-10 at numerous Junior National Championships since age 12, including AAU Nationals, AAU West Coast Junior Olympics, Beach Volleyball Clubs of America (BVCA) and AVP First…member of VolleyballMag.com’s first beach girls Fab 30…played club indoor volleyball from the ages of 10 to 14, earning a silver medal at the age of 11 in the Lone Star National Qualifier…was a six rotation player all four years of high school for indoor volleyball…a member of her high school’s varsity indoor volleyball team her final three years of high school…earned All-District First Team honors her final three years of high school…named to the All-Central Texas Volleyball team as a senior…voted her high school volleyball team’s most valuable player her during both her junior and senior seasons.

Born: October 10, 2001..Caitlin is the daughter of Faye and James Godwin...played indoor volleyball throughout high school...earned academic All-District during her junior and senior years of high school…chose to wear the number 40 because it was her dad’s high school football number…aspires to work in the health and fitness industry...major is Social Science.
