ON ANDERSON
A member of four NCAA Tournament teams...helped the Seminoles finish as the National Runners-up in 2022, as NCAA Semifinalists in 2023 and in a tie for fifth place in the NCAA Tournament in 2021...a member of three Coastal Collegiate Sports Association championship teams (2019, 2021 and 2022)...played in five matches in her career and finished with a 3-2 record.
AS A SENIOR (2023)
Competed in a career-high four matches and finished with a 2-2 record...gained wins over Central Arkansas, Mercer and South Miss...earned victories while paired with Kate Privett (against Central Arkansas), her sister Maddie Anderson (against Mercer) and with Alex Hilton (against Southern Mississippi).
AS A JUNIOR (2022)
Competed in her first collegiate match and won on court five with Kate Privett against Central Arkansas at the TCU Horned Frog Challenge.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021)
Did not participate in any matches.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2020)
Played in one exhibition match with Alex Hilton against the College of Charleston...the match was not completed with the pair of Anderson and Hilton splitting the first two sets, 19-21 and 21-13.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
A redshirt season – did not compete in any matches.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Indoor: A starter and played all the way around for the 2015 2A State Champions (with Lake Worth Christian) and the 2017 9A State Runners-Up (with Palm Beach Gardens) – first 9A state title game in school history…Palm Beach Post First-Team selection with 133 kills, 169 service points, 244 digs, 250 service receptions, and 25 aces… South Florida Sun Sentinel Palm Beach 9A First Team; Junior Olympics 17’s. Beach: Played for her mom’s A-MAY-ZING Beach Club; top-ranked 18-year-old in California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) 2018 with 3946 points… took 3rd in prestigious Cal Cup event with sister 2016…completed her Junior Beach volleyball career having played in 57 USAV events with first-place finishes in 18 of those events and top 3 finishes in 35 of those events…played with her sister (and Seminole teammate) Maddie each summer since 2015 in California including a six month stint training and playing in Huntington Beach with SandSoul...played 56 CBVA events with top 3 finishes in 25 of those events… she claimed two 2nd place finishes at the USAV Beach Wars in Gulf Shores… highest USAV National ranking of No. 2 in the U16 division with six national tournament bids…earned AAA California rating in 2017 and a ranking of AA in 2018.
PERSONAL
Born July 9, 2000...Cassie is the daughter of Dr. Marianne May and William Anderson...has four siblings, Emmy, Erik, Jared and Maddie (a current Florida State Beach Volleyball Player)...mother played indoor volleyball and softball at Northwestern University and played beach volleyball for 15 years after college… she coached both daughters in indoor and beach volleyball…traveled throughout the country for six months playing beach tournaments in the Midwest, Southeast, and California while home schooling on the road homeschooled for 6 years...earned her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management in 2022.
