A member of Florida State’s 2019 and 2022 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association’s championship teams...has played on three NCAA Tournament teams (2019, 2022, 2023) as a member of the Florida State Beach Volleyball team...the Seminoles finished as the National Runners-Up in 2022 and as National Semifinalists in 2022...earned 23 wins while playing with Jordan Polo during her career – tied for the 25th highest win career total by a pair in school history...has won 44 matches and has a 44-20 career record (.688 winning percentage) in three years as a member of the beach volleyball team.
AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2023)
Earned a 16-5 record as a member of the Seminoles’ NCAA Tournament semifinalist team...earned victories with Carra Sassack (5-4), Raelyn White (2-0), Caitlin Moore (4-0), Jordan Polo (4-1) and Alexis Durish (1-0) as she played on courts three and four...a season-long six-match winning streak to begin the season with four straight wins at the Seminole Beach Bash...gained wins while playing with Caitlin Moore against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Washington, FIU and South Carolina...two wins at the Tampa Invitational with Jordan Polo over Grand Canyon and Stetson...a five-match winning streak with three coming at the Georgia State Day of Duels with Polo in wins over Coastal Carolina and Georgia State and Alexis Durish in a victory over Mercer...won her first two matches in the March to May with Carra Sassack over Tulane and UCLA...finished out the March to May event with two wins (with Sassack) over South Carolina and Georgia State...gained a victory (with Sassack) over South Carolina in the CCSA Tournament...won two of three matches (one was left unfinished) as the Seminoles advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament...played with White in victories over FIU and LSU while her final match against UCLA was left unfinished.
AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2022)
Named to the CCSA All-Tournament Team and as the 2022 CCSA Pair of the Tournament with Jordan Polo...finished the season with a 24-10 overall record on courts two, three and four…began the season with Keara Rutz on court two...Chacon and Rutz earned a 3-2 record during the early part of the season...paired up with Jordan Polo and competed on courts three and four...the pair concluded the season on court four finishing 19-6 record… the duo also earned two CCSA Pair of the Week accolades following an undefeated weekend at the North Florida Invite (April 6) and a 3-1 run at Cal Poly’s Center of Effort Challenge (April 20)… earned 19 wins against top-25 ranked opponents with 13 wins coming against top 10 opponents… most notable victories feature wins over No. 8 Cal Poly, No. 5 LSU (four times), No. 3 UCLA (twice), No. 6 LMU (twice), and No. 2 TCU (twice)…earned CCSA Pair of the Tournament with partner Jordan Polo after an undefeated tournament on court four.
AS A JUNIOR (2021)
A redshirt season. Did not participate in the 2021 beach volleyball season while she played indoor volleyball.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
Played in three matches as a sophomore, earning a 2-1 record…was 1-0 with Ashely Robert, winning 17-21, 21-14, 15-13 against No. 17 South Carolina…was 1-1 with Keara Rutz, winning their lone match against College of Charleston 21-12, 21-8.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
Played in six dual matches in her first season and finished with a 2-4 record…earned her first career win on court three with Nikki Esposito against Austin Peay…gained her second win on court four with Brooke Kuhlman against Tulane.
INDOOR VOLLEYBALL AT FLORIDA STATE
Played four seasons of Indoor Volleyball at Florida State (2018-21)...a two-time All-ACC Second-Team selection as a member of the Seminoles’ Indoor volleyball team...ranked sixth in school history for matches started with 116...ranked 16th in school history with 579 serve attempts and an average of 2.92 digs per game...tied for 17th in school history with 443 games played...ranks 18th in school history with 2,175 kill attempts...tied for 19th in school history as she played in 121 career matches and an average of 3.02 points scored per game...ranks tied for 21st with 22 career double doubles...ranks 25th in school history with 800 career points.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from Crown Point in 2018...named as the Northwest Indiana Times Volleyball Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017...the Post Tribune Girls Volleyball Player of the Year in 2017...a USA Volleyball All-American in 2017...selected as the top junior player by PrepVolleyball in 2017...named to the USA All-Tournament team at the USA Girls’ 18’s Junior National Championship Tournament in 2017...an Under Armour Third-Team All-American in 2016...the Duneland Athletic Conference MVP in 2016...earned All-State First-Team honors in 2016...named to the AVCA Phenom List in 2016.
PERSONAL
Born April 8, 2000...Morgan is the daughter of Brandi and Luis Chacon...two sisters - Alaina, played beach volleyball at Florida State (2018-22 and Savana...all three sisters played Volleyball at Crown Point...earned her Bachelor’s Degree Social and Sustainable Enterprises and is pursuing a certificate in Athletic Coaching.
